CINAHL  Link works only at MHP and other authorized workstations

This database of nursing and allied health literature is available by subscription only. MGHP staff and associates who need to use the database from remote workstations may obtain a login ID from the librarian.

PubMed

Free from the National Library of Medicine.  To limit a PubMed search to the best evidence-producing studies, click on "clinical queries" on the left side of the screen.  This specialized search for clinicians has built-in search "filters" in four study categories: therapy, diagnosis, etiology, and prognosis.  Or, select the "Limits" tab to customize a search by type of article, such as Systematic Review or Meta-analysis.

TRIP (Turning Research Into Practice)

Free resource simultaneously searches evidence-based sources of systematic reviews, practice guidelines, and critically-appraised topics and articles.  Also searches MEDLINE's Clinical Queries, medical image databases, e-textbooks, and patient information leaflets.  Links to both free and subscription-only resources.  (British)
